Ronan Keating Career Timeline

Ronan Keating kicks off his singing career by joining Boyzone in 1993 as the group released a cover version of «Working My Way Back to You» and also released a cover version of «Love Me for a Reason».
Boyzone released 17 singles, 3 studio albums and 1 compilation album from 1994 to 1999 and Keating recorded a version of «When You Say Nothing at All» for the motion picture «Notting Hill» in 1999.
In 2000, he launched his debut solo album, titled «Ronan» which was certified two times platinum by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry for shipments of two million copies inside Europe in 2001.
Then he continued on with his solo career and has since released four more studio albums: «Destination» (2002), «Turn It On» (2003), «10 Years of Hits» (2004), and «Bring You Home» (2006).

Ronan co-wrote the song «Believe Again» sung by Niels Brinck in 2009 and in March 2010 the new Boyzone album «Brother» was released.
Keating released his seventh studio album, entitled «Duet» on 12th November 2010, and joined the judging panel of «The X Factor» in 2010.
As well, he released an album of covers produced by Burt Bacharach titled «When Ronan Met Burt» on 21st March 2011 after which he started shooting scenes for his film debut in Australia; the film, «Goddess», was released on 14th March 2013.
On 3rd September 2012, his ninth studio album named «Fires» was launched.
He teamed up with X Factor judge Dannii Minogue to record a duet of Christmas classic «Santa Claus Is Coming To Town» in September 2013.
He was announced as Ricky Martin’s replacement on «The Voice Australia» on 24th December 2015 and announced his departure from the show after one season on 7th December 2016.
He released his tenth studio album «Time of My Life» in February 2016 and released his eleventh studio album titled, «Twenty Twenty» on 24th July 2020. He released «Songs from Home» in November 2021.
Apart from singing, Ronan also guest-presented episodes of «The One Show» from 2017 to 2021 and was a guest panelist on the ITV Daytime show, «Loose Women» on 19th November 2020.
He unsuccessfully auditioned for a role in «The Hobbit» and started working on «Goddess» which is a 2013 romantic comedy film in April 2011.
He was seen in the fourth season of the Australian drama, «Love Child» in 2017 as well as he starred s Harold Le Druillenec, brother of Louisa Gould in the film «Another Mother’s Son» in the following year.

Shane Lynch, 45, married his second wife, Real Housewives of Cheshire star Sheena White, in August 2007.

They are parents to two girls, Billie Rae, 13, and Marley Mae, nine.

Sheena, who appears on the ITVbe reality show, recently confessed their 14-year marriage nearly ended due to lockdown.

She said the singer moved out of the family home for a couple of months during the height of the pandemic.

She remembers, aged eight, being at London’s O2 arena when the crowd sang Happy Birthday to her.

Now she works as a model and actress, and splits her time between London and Dublin. She loves designer clobber but also posts paid adverts for budget fashion company PrettyLittleThing.

She clearly adores her famous father. Last month, for Father’s Day, she posted on Instagram: “I am who I am because you taught me who to be. Your work ethic, generosity, humour and heart are things I admire you for every day.”

The youngest of Ronan and Yvonne’s children, Ali turned sweet 16 last September.

Her mum posted on social media to mark the milestone: «Happy sweet 16th to the funniest, brightest and toughest girl I know. I’m so proud of you Al. Have a great birthday.»

Reality shows

Missy has inherited her dad’s musical talent. She plays the guitar in music duo GGMK with her pal Georgia Gaffney, who plays the piano, and appeared on BBC’s talent show The Voice in 2019.

Earlier this year, Missy appeared on Irish TV’s Dancing With the Stars, partnered with pro dancer Ervinas Merfeldas.

Sadly she was eliminated in the first dance off of the competition and although emotional at leaving the show, she added: “Well at least I’m going out to party now.”

Interestingly, rumours swirled earlier this year that Missy was due to appear on Love Island. So who knows, maybe we’ll see a Keating double act on the show.

Ronan is the youngest of five siblings — with one sister, Linda, and three brothers, Gerard, Gary and Ciaran, who sadly died in a shock car accident.

Gerard, born in 1971, works as a stockbroker and is ‘the brain’ of the family according to Ronan.

He said: ‘He thinks everything through. He’s conservative, but he can be a real party man at times.’

Gary was born in 1975, making him closest to Ronan in age.

He is managing director of an events and PR company, but is also still heavily involved in fundraising for Marie’s charity.

He has also worked as Ronan’s assistant, and was praised by the singer in his autobiography, Life Is A Rollercoaster.

Car salesman Ciaran, born in 1966, tragically died following a car crash on July 15, when he and his wife were going to watch their 27-year-old son Ruairi play in a League of Ireland match for Cork City against Sligo Rovers.

His wife, Ann Marie, was taken to Mayo University Hospital and received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Missy also appeared on The Voice UK in 2019, as part of duo GGMK – although they didn’t make it past the first round.

But she didn’t tell her dad about the audition until after it happened.

«It was my little brother’s christening and I thought I’d do it on a day where dad was in a good mood. I made sure there were lots of people around,» she recalled.

«We were in the kitchen, all the family and friends were there.»

She continued: «I said, ‘Oh my gosh, dad. I forgot to tell you, I got through to The Voice UK’.» He responded with a stunned ‘What?’

«And he had to take a second. And after that, he was like, ‘I’m really proud of you, that’s amazing’.»
